My superpower is making things grow.

Being raised in a tight-knit, blue-collar, farming and construction community literally showed me what it takes to be successful—strategy. Greatness is an input, not an outcome. If you don’t put it in—the systems with the culture to compliment—you won’t reap sustainable, transformative, outcomes.

Civil Engineering was my initial career path. Five years into my career, I was climbing the ladder fast. I felt blessed, but I knew there was more. I took a year off from engineering to serve in my local church and explore the world. While sailing in Croatia it hit me--I love solving problems. Not just civil engineering problems, but the WICKED problems nobody wants to touch. The systemic problems and the people problems.

Since that revelation, I have eaten, slept, and breathed all things strategic planning, process improvement, organizational development, and innovation. I loosely refer to myself as a People Systems Engineer because there is a people factor that we can’t overlook as leaders, innovators, public servants, and corporations.

I combine my tactical skills and experiences (i.e., public and private sector engineering; LEAN six-sigma; systems design; and technology) with my people-focused skills (i.e., organizational development; entrepreneurial thinking; human-centered design; diversity, equity, and inclusion; loving people) to discover, develop, and deliver creative, innovative and transformational solutions.
